TESTIMONIALS

"Brilliant! Insightful! You've done many things with this incredibly unique publication, the likes of which does not exist in Hawaii: you've established credibility with your contacts and sources, found out information even we couldn't attain, and presented it to us clearly and efficiently. Amazing work."
- Peter Shaindlin, VP Halekulani Corp.

"A really interesting newsletter and take on Hawaii. Good job! I'm a travel writer and usually delete these types of publications, but I actually read yours. This could serve as a refreshing model for other destinations looking to promote their region."
- Lorry Heverly, Dive columnist, Miami Herald

"I wanted to let you know that I read your initial edition from "cover to cover" (if that still applies in email form). My husband and I own a winery in Oregon and I loved getting some of the info regarding the foodie stuff going on in Hawaii. It is fascinating; all of the various facets of the industry that attract all kinds of different people. Thanks for sharing!"
- Jo Spencer, Vacation & Cruise Consultant, Uniglobe Spectrum Travel

"BIG Mahalos for the story in your newsletter. I'm almost embarrassed for the glowing remarks that you made. It was a lucky night. I will forward it to some pals -- it's a great read."
- Roberto Viernes, Master Sommelier, Honolulu, HI

- Cynthia Rankin, Regional Director, Hilton Hawaii

"What a great article on Kermit Lynch. I respect, admire & enjoy all of his wines. I have had the pleasure of getting him to fly over and do a tasting luncheon with him when I was at The Plantation House. What a unique, interesting and intellectual individual. Anyway, great Q & A with The Man of French Imports."
- Chris Kaiwi, managing partner, Pineapple Grill, Kapalua

I was managing Roy's in Hawaii Kai, with Randal Caparoso, who was one of the pioneers in the search for "new" and "exciting" choices of wines that were the norm, back in the late 80's in Hawaii. I remember the night when Kermit came in for dinner and Randy told me who he was, Randy was a huge fan ( not everyone got Kermit Lynch in the early days, he is a bit eccentric), I immediately left work and drove home to Pacific Heights to get my copy of his "Adventures on the Wine Route", I had just finished, so I could have a signed copy. The book gave me a new sense of wine appreciation of French Wines, I had not gain from any other wine journal or publication todate. It is still a great periodical for one who is craving wine knowledge. Just a passing memory, wine does that!
