Deepak Chopra To Speak In Honolulu On January 28, 2008

What do the Dali Lama, Maiya Angelou and Deepak Chopra all have in common?

The answer is simple: When each one takes the stage, whether in a classroom in Tibet, a conference hall in Switzerland or a stadium in the U.S., people of all ethnicities, races and creeds listen. For the most part, nearly everyone can assimilate with them in one way or another, even if it's just an aspiration to share in their graceful demeanors. They each speak with such clarity of mind, and simplicity of tone, that they are truly a comfort-a word that is repeated over and over-to be within earshot of.

Hawaii will have the rare opportunity this month to experience a lecture and presentation by Deepak Chopra. At 7:30 p.m. on January 28th, at the Hawaii Convention Center in Waikiki, Chopra will expound, in his gracious manner, on the deeper meaning of our existence. It's a subject he has studied and philosophized upon in more than 50 books, has been translated in to 35 languages, and has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

If you would like to do some homework before the first major existential event of 2008, look in to Chopra's "Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence", "Peace Is The Way", "The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of your Life" or "Buddha-A Story of Enlightenment". Each has a unique and captivating way of telling a story, while speaking directly to the reader as they turn the pages. Chopra is a master at speaking directly at the issues on-hand, and cutting to the most integral matters.

If it's an example you seek (sorry, that started sounding like Yoda), check out Chopra's very simple and easy to navigate web site. He updates a blog every few days or so, where you can get a taste of his even-keeled, common sensual nature. Recently he remarked upon Barack Obama's winning of the Iowa caucus-and more importantly, the country's reaction to it. Said with such grace, it's a must read.

Chopra has asked us to pass along some of the subjects he will cover n January 28th. They include: What is our true nature? What is the mechanics of creation? How can I transform myself, and make a better world"

You know, your every day stuff.
