"B's" Bio
Brian Berusch, founder and publisher of B on Hawaii, has been reporting on trends within the travel,
culinary, luxury and lifestyle markets since 1996. Through extensive travels, interaction with key players,
the cultivation of business relationships, and an ongoing effort to hone his writing, photography, design and
production skills, Berusch has positioned himself as the travel industry's "go-to" guy for all things
travel-trend related.
Berusch’s long-term goal for B on Hawaii is to open the lines of communication between travel product
sellers, creative industry decision makers, consumers and those with an interest in the lifestyle happenings
within the Hawaiian Islands. Certainly not limited to readers within Hawaii, the newsletter and Web site should
reflect content that is readable to both those within the various industries that keep Hawaii a unique place
to live and visit, as well as incite visitors and locals to demand new and better product offerings.
Paradise should not be compromised in any way: This should reflect in the types of experiences we offer to
visitors and residents of Hawaii.
Editorial work by Berusch has been seen in Town & Country Travel, Travel + Leisure, Saveur, Wine Enthusiast, Elite Traveler, Islands, Gotham,
L.A. Confidential, Modern Bride, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons, Hawaiian Style, Honolulu Magazine,
San Diego Magazine, Modern Luxury Hawaii, En Route, Hospitality Design, American Express’ SkyGuide, Freesurf, Watch Aficionado,
Travel Weekly and Travel Agent. Berusch has also edited and written on a project basis for Zagat Survey and
National Jeweler, in addition to consultant work with many of America’s top advertising agencies. Berusch has
also published more than a dozen photographs in various lifestyle magazines and newspapers. Stories composed
by Berusch have been picked up by digital outlets that include MSNBC and CNN.com.
Brian Berusch was raised in the suburban hamlet of Chappaqua, N.Y. He has resided in Tucson, Arizona;
Portland, Oregon; San Francisco, California; New York, New York; Lugano, Switzerland and Honolulu, Hawaii.
He graduated from Lewis & Clark College in December of 1995, with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature.
